Purpose of the role

The successful applicant will provide Business, HR administrative, and process support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and have the necessary experience to contribute towards the wider organisational Human Resources development in accordance with Advocacy Focus’ policies and procedures. The role will help to review, develop, and monitor all internal Business and HR administration processes and procedures, with an active role to play in developing an effective organisational infrastructure to support service provision in liaison with the Operations Director and Management Team.

Applicants must possess at least 2 years’ experience in Business admin and specifically HR admin. The post is full time, covering 37 hours per week and includes a competitive salary, childcare vouchers, flexible working hours, an employer contribution of 5% towards a pension on satisfactory completion following three months' service. Twenty-five days annual leave rising to thirty after five years continuous service.

Key tasks

  • To provide full administrative support and assistance to the SLT and provide support in managing diaries, appointments and associated travel.
  • Responsible for the development maintenance and monitoring of Advocacy Focus’ policies and procedures
  • To provide a strictly private and confidential personal assistant role to the Chief Executive Officer of Advocacy Focus.
  • To be responsible for the co-ordination of Team Meetings, arrange refreshments, seating, taking, and circulating minutes as required
  • To produce reports for the SLT as required and maintain accurate record keeping.
