We are currently looking for volunteers in the following locations; Ormskirk, Lancaster, Burnley, Clitheroe, Accrington, Colne, Nelson, Rossendale, Haslingdon, Whalley and Blackburn.

We have a variety of different roles across the areas we cover and welcome applications from people of all ages, experiences and backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from people with disabilities and those with lived experience of mental ill health. Empathy matters more than academic qualifications.

When you join us, you will Advocacy Focus, you receive your own training schedule which includes an Induction Day, Introduction to Advocacy, E-learning opportunities and much more. As part of your training, you will also shadow our Independent Advocates on client visits and get to grips with the important work we do in the community.

We are always keen to hear from people who have experienced or live with ill-mental health, social care challenges and/or caring responsibilities.
We’re delighted to announce that the development and training we undertake with our volunteers has been recognised by the UK Quality Assurance Panel and last week we were awarded Investing in Volunteer status.
We are looking for warm, compassionate and understanding people who are good communicators to join our Community Focus team. As a Community Focus Volunteer, you can make a real difference to people who feel lonely and isolated in East Lancashire.
Independent Visitors support and befriend young people in care; take the opportunity to become a positive influence in a child's life. Our Independent Visitor role is currently only available in Rochdale. Candidates must be able to pledge 3-4 hours per month for two years.
