From 1st April 2019, we will be providing a service which supports life improvement for all children and young people in care or who are going through the child protection process.

Our service will include the provision of Children’s Rights, Children’s Advocacy, Care Leavers Advocacy, Independent Visitor and Missing from Care Return Interviews.

  • Our Independent Advocates and volunteers champion the rights of young people
  • We ensure that every child and young person’s voice is heard
  • We believe in putting children and young people at the heart of any decisions that affect their lives

We need your help to support young people in care

We will also be recruiting for Independent Visitors; if you wish to make a difference to a child's life, make sure you stop by and get involved.

An Independent Visitor is a volunteer who befriends a young person in care. It is an increasingly vital and valuable role that can make a positive difference to a child’s life. It is reported that Independent Visitors can encourage children to take more productive paths in life.

If you can give 3-4 hours a month it can be a truly rewarding experience for you and for the person you support.

Join our specialist Independent Advocates and our Volunteer Manager Nicola, at the Wheatsheaf on Friday 29th March from 10am to 2pm.
